With Valentine Day creeping up, I thought it would be perfect time to share this easy cannabis infused chocolate strawberries recipe with y’all. So if you are looking to create something for that special stoner in your life, this recipe is perfect as you only need 3 ingredients weed, chocolate, and strawberries!
About This Recipe

This cannabis infused chocolate strawberries combines the traditional chocolate-dipped chocolate with weed (specifically cannabis concentrate). This recipe calls for decarboxylated concentrate, such as rosin, that will be mixed directly into the melted chocolate baking chips. We do not need to use any additional oil, as the chocolate contains fat that will bind with the THC/CBD.
I personally enjoy using rosin, as it quickly melts into the chocolate and allows for a tasty product, but ultimately its up to preference. Just make sure that you are using decarbed cannabis concentrate only, flower will not work in this recipe.
There is a whole science behind chocolate tempering, but in this recipe will be doing a beginner-friendly approach that can be achieved with just a bowl and a microwave (although i do enjoy the double-boiler method a bit more because it keeps the chocolate at the right temperature for longer). This method will provide smooth and pot-ent cannabis infused chocolate strawberries that will make any stoner feel loved.
Note: If you are starting with non-decarboxylated concentrate please refer to my guide for a more detailed guide and tips. To decarb concentrates place into oven at 240F for roughly 40 mins (time will change based on different concentrates and the amount).
Ingredients & Supplies

To keep it easy, we will be using compound chocolate for this recipe (I personally enjoy using the Ghirardelli Melting Wafers). Using melting chocolates will allow us to still get that nice snap, without having to go through the process of tempering chocolate.
Before we continue, lets go ahead and gather up our ingredients and supplies. For our cannabis infused chocolate strawberries we will need..
- chocolate baking chips dark or milk chocolate
- decarboxylated concentrate
- fresh dry strawberries room temp and completely dry
- plastic bowl (or metal bowl if using a double boiler)
- rubber spatula
- parchment paper
- baking sheet (optional, but helps the chocolate solidify quicker)
Tips & Tricks
Use Decarbed Cannabis Extracts: We will be using decarboxylated concentrate for this recipe, but certain concentrates (e.g., distillate and RSO) do not need to be decarbed as they have already been decarboxylated during their extraction process.
Low Heat: Melt your chocolates slowly and on low heat. If the cannabis concentrate isn’t mixing well, add a bit more heat (this will help the cannabis blend smoothly into the chocolate).
Use a Cold Surface: Place a baking sheet in the freezer, take out right before you begin to dip, and use it to place the infused chocolate dipped strawberries. The extra cold surface will allow the cannabis infused chocolate strawberries to harden quicker.
Avoid Moisture: Excess moisture on the strawberry will make it difficult for the chocolate to adhere properly, so make sure they are bone-dry and room temp. You can place a dry paper towel in the container (not touching the strawberries) to absorb excess humidity.
No Double Boiler? If you do not have access to a double boiler or a stove, you can also make these cannabis infused chocolate covered strawberries using a microwave.
Infused Chocolate Strawberries Recipe
Ingredients
- chocolate baking chips (dark or milk chocolate)
- decarboxylated concentrate
- fresh dry strawberries (room temp and completely dry)
Instructions
-
- Double Boiler: Fill a pot with water and place it on the stove over low heat. Place the aluminum metal bowl over a saucepan of simmering water on a low heat; the bowl should not touch the water.
- Prep Strawberries: Wash and completely dry the strawberries.
- Melt Chocolate: Pour the chocolate into the metal bowl and mix it with a rubber spatula.
- Infuse: Once the chocolate is at least halfway melted, add your decarbed concentrate. Continue stirring frequently until the chocolate is fully melted and the cannabis is evenly incorporated. Then, remove it from the heat.
- Dip the Strawberries: Once the concentrate is fully incorporated into the chocolate, it’s time to start dipping. Hold each dry strawberry by the stem and dip it into the warm cannabis infused chocolate. Let the excess chocolate drip off before placing the cannabis infused strawberry onto a baking sheet lined w/ parchment paper.
